Lego Started a long time ago in Switzerland 1932 then it ended up in England. There was a wood maker named Oli and he owned a shop. Sadly he had to fire some of his workers, A few years later his wife die.
He first started to make wood toys, Then he thinked of some other toys that he could make. Oli had 4 sons to look after, Godfrey always helped his father after school with his business.
The name Lego was found on a truck while Oli waited for his delivery he tried to think of a better name for the workshop. When the truck was outside of the workshop, he finally saw that he could name his business Lego. One day while Oli was making a bunch of wooden toys a rich man was welcomed into the workshop. He wanted the toys to be sold at his shop.
Oli was given a piece of plastic that was invented, when he got into his car he asked his son Godfrey if they should buy the plastics. So that is how Lego Started. Even though times were rough Oli and his son still didn’t give up.
The Lego business is still going from 1932. My favourite part from this movie was when Oli’s son Godfrey made the LEGO bricks come to life. I like this movie because it was really interesting to watch.

During this term we learnt how to play cricket. Our coach told us everything about cricket and what to do. It was really hard in the first place but as we started to play more often, we got used to playing cricket.
Let’s Begin! In the morning for the first lesson of cricket we went into the courts and sat down to wait for our coach to tell us what to do . Later on we started our warm up with running, throwing, Walking and exercises.
It was loads of fun playing cricket every week on a Tuesday. When we were finished doing our warm up’s we went onto the field and played a real game of cricket. Sometimes we would go out onto the field with our reliever Mr Blackmore and play cricket at the end of the day ,if we had finish all of our work.
We are so lucky to have coaches from around the world come to our school and teach us how to play sports.
“Pack up Room three we are going out to play a game of cricket” said our teacher as we started to pack up and line up outside. We had to break up into two teams, one batting and the other team fielding. I was in the batting team.
We played heaps of cricket. Sadly at the end of the day our team didn’t win.
In the Life education van we learnt about the three Sources and they are: Food from animals, Food from the ground, and mixed ingredients. Food from Animals are like Chicken, beef and eggs. Food from the ground are fruits, vegetables and different types of nuts. Mix ingredients are like sweets, chocolates and soda.
Today Room Three went to the Manaiakalani Film Festival. Every year Saint Pius X Catholic School participates in this Festival. Room 3 entered in a movie based on three words. Rachel and I presented our movie and it was very exciting for us because it was our first time seeing ourselves on the big screen and it was our first time presenting a movie in front of heaps of people.
Lets begin! Early in the morning I woke up and got ready to go to school. When I got to school I had to take my little sister and nephew to the playgroup. After that I went to my classroom to get myself ready for the day. “RING, RING, RING” went the bell as we walked over to line up. Then we went back into our classrooms. Luckily Rachel and I got to go with our principal to the theatre.
Finally it was our turn to shine. “I love school” I said as I shook as I was so nervous. But we still went on talking. As we walked down the steps the movies began. I was so proud of Room Three and myself because it was very emotional seeing that we have finally completed our first Film I can’t wait for the next Film Festival.
My favourite part from the day was when I got to present our movie. My favourite film was “The Test” from Point England Rm18 because it was really funny and interesting to watch.
Today was Room Three's last day going to the Life Education Van. The Life Education Van comes every year to our school to teach us more about life. We met Harold the giraffe. Today we learnt about different food sources and the food pyramid. We even learnt about our body digestion. Their are three parts in your mouth that you use to eat and it was your teeth, Tongue and siliva. Then the food that you ate go's down into something we call your Oesophagus throat. It squeezes the food down and it moves around your body so it could be in certain parts in your body. The next place that the food goes to is your small Intestines and from there it is broken up into small bits so the good bits could go into your blood in your arm and the bad bits it will go into the toilet.
Yesterday Room three learnt what or who is a good sportsmanship and why. To be a good sportsman you should play fair and not cheat. We can show good sportsmanship by showing kindness rather than breaking the rules. When playing sport everyone should be helpful to their team and team mates. We can show good sportsmanship by being honest to the ref and the other team.
Today Room Three had to draw a picture about our healthy lunches, we also learnt what is good for having in our lunch boxes. I drawed a Apple, a sandwich, Orange, Yoghurt and a cookie. There were three parts for a healthy lunch, and they were Protein fruit body good stuff and a fun thing. I hope you
Today Saint Pius X School watched a Duffy Show. It was called Duffy and the Best book in the World. Some actors act in front of children at school's every year.
My favourite part from the show was when some of the students in the school got up and they got to act in the show too. One of my favourite parts from the students acting was when they were going to be wrapping paper for one of the acts because it was very cool seeing the children being unwrapped from the present.
