PAT Math Test Reflection

This morning we had a  on-line Math test which is called PAT. At first I felt uneasy and scared. I was not looking forward to it.  I started to get familiar with the questions. I felt unsure in my answers. There were some questions that  I didn't know, but I didn't let that stop me. If I’d reached a question that was unknown to me, I would pick a answer which I thought was the best. I am  not so confident, but I tried my best.

Kiwi-Sport Touch Reflection

This morning we had  our second  touch session. It was much different than the previous session. We had learnt alot of skills and  rules about the game Touch. It was quite complicated but I got the hang of it. I learnt that in touch it requires alot of team work. I can’t wait to learn more in our next session!

Term 3 Reflection

As my teacher said, term 3 would be the most
full on term. She was right. There was alot to work on, for the year is nearly over. We had alot of events during Term 3, like the Cross Country. It's draining not being able to achieve all my goals, but that's what school's are for. I've learnt alot from this Term. I've learnt more about Fractions (which now I get), I learnt more about Negative and Positive numbers, and I've learnt more Life Lesson's  I'm thankful for this term, for it has turned my learning around. I hope I'm ready for the last term:)

Reflection From Today:)

Hi all!!
Today wasn't that perfect. Nothing is:)
It was quite a normal day, Cross Country Practise, Technology & Netball. Nothing major. I was so tired from Cross Country. We have to do things that we don't like to build our personality. At Technology we finished off our design's for our lolly packets ^^
After school we went to Alecia's Netball Game. I also found out something soooooo bad. I can't help myself :(
Thank You for reading :)
See Ya &&

The Gospel Reading

Luke 6:27-37
Responses - " Be Kind
to those who HATE you, Lend money to those who won't pay it back. Love Those who hate you, not those who will love you back. If you lend someone your coat, Don't try to get it back. Love your Enemies."

My Prayer
Dear God,
I'm so sorry for sometimes not trying to live like you. I am so sorry for the times I've hated my enemies instead of  loving them. I'm sorry for not following your words. I'll try to lend money to people and I'll try to love those who hate me. I try to love my Enemies.
Amen

Term 2 Reflection

In Term 2 I enjoyed having visitors come into our classroom because I really enjoyed hearing how they became successful and how they reacted to our questions. I also enjoyed swimming because it was really fun learning how to swim in different ways. Another highlight from this term was learning new maths strategies for multiplication, division and fractions because it was very hard at the start of the year for me, but now I know them all very well.

My lowlights from term 2 was twisting my ankle because I wasn’t allowed to run or walk that much. I didn’t really enjoy soccer because I don’t really like to play sports, only Netball. Another highlight from this term was when we didn’t swim for 2 weeks because I really enjoyed getting wet and having fun with our instructors.

What I am looking forward to for next term for our inquiry because we are going to learn about Asia, I love learning about countries and continents. Another thing that I am looking forward to is doing Music because we are going to work more on our ukuleles.

Term 1 Reflections

My favourite highlights for term 1 were doing the hundred day maths, I really enjoyed this because it showed how much I have improved through the term. Another highlight that I really enjoyed from this term was helping Miss Leaupepe make our school emblem because it was fun and different.

My lowlights from this term was doing mental maths because sometimes I always get answers wrong and sometimes the question are too hard. Another lowlight from this term was drawing real life objects because I am not  very good at drawing and because we had to draw every detail that we could see.

I am looking forward to swimming pool because I love swimming in the swimming pool. I am also looking forward to playing in the cluster netball. The last thing that I am looking forward to is starting new strategies in reading and maths.

My main goals for next term are writing and maths because right now in maths I am below the level that I am supposed to be in. My  other goals for next term are to concentrate more on my work and to finish off my work faster.

Term 3 Reflections

Learning Journal

Being a successful learner involves you being reflective about the learning process. It is about you identifying your strengths, weaknesses and areas you would like to improve in. Reflection just does not happen at the end of a task, it can be throughout a task.

I would now like you to take some time to answer these questions:

1. Are you pleased with how this term has gone for you?
Yes I am very pleased because I have finally activated my goal from last year and because I finished all my work for this term.

2. What have you learnt this term?
I have learnt  how to make  a book on Toondo. Toondo is a program for books, you can even post it to your blog.  I made a book about my soul friend, I even learnt how to put it on my blog.

3. What have you found easy this term?
Participating in Taekwondo, It was very easy to understand the policies
and rules in Taekwondo. It was also very fun to do that sport.

4. What have you found tricky / difficult this term?
Writing a Report because I did not know what to do in the start.

5. Who  / what has helped you with your learning this term?
There were lots of people who help me throughout the term and they were: My teacher Miss G, My friend Ana, My Sister Alecia, My parents, and My cousin Ierei.

6. What could you change with your learning for next term?
I would like to change my Maths because I am very bad at maths in my group, especially my times tables.

7. What are your next learning steps to make you a successful learner for next term?
Doing extra work outside  school and inside school, and working hard in the classroom.
