Fakalofa Lahi Atu Miss Leaupepe,

My name is Sonya. I am 10 years old and I was born in New Zealand. I am a year 6 student at St Pius X Catholic School. I am writing this letter to introduce myself to you.

My family on both sides are Niuean and Samoan. My mother is from Samoa and my Dad is from Niue but both of them were born at different places. So that makes me half Samoan and half Niuean. Now I can tell you little bit more about me, I was raised known as a Samoan and by my Mothers side. I have 19 cousins and 12 aunties and uncles.

What I like to do the most in my spare time is to play with my cousins. I also like to play the ukulele. The sports that I like to play are: Baseball, tennis, Netball and volleyball. My favorite Samoan foods are: panikeke, puaa, palusami, pisupo, coco rice, taro, and Banana. I also like to eat lots of fruits. My favourite fruit are passion Fruit and berries. What I dislike is maths because it is very confusing.

My goals for this year is concentrating on my work and to complete it on time. What I am looking forward for this is to be in a class with a very new teacher.

Yours sincerely,
Sonya
