My Soul Friend

My Soul Friend for this year is Claudia. She is in Room 3 and is 8 yr old. She loves eating KFC and loves to read Captain underpants. In her own time she loves playing Snakes  and ladders and loves watching the Walking Dead. At School her favourite subject is Writing and her favourite teacher is Mrs Tui.

Claudia loves watching Sticky T.V, She loves the colour Purple. I am looking forward to this year with Claudia.

Week Ending 14.03.14 Friday 14th March

Term1/Week6

Reading	This week I really enjoyed the reading activities. Especially when Reading the Fruit Fly Fix Passage, and finishing the activities  . This Week  I’ve also learnt about  what phrases.
Writing	This week I’ve struggle to finish my work.  But I have written what lent is and a complaint. I really, really enjoyed learning how to write a Complaint.
Maths	This week I’ve practise on my Basic Facts and learnt about the Units of decimals. I really struggled with understanding the units of the Decimals, But I got through it.

R.E	For R.E this week I’ve learnt heaps. I’ve learnt Caritas and the Solomon Islands. From learning about the Solomon Islands I’ve also learnt about the three Pacific Groups and there meanings.

Weekly Reflection

Week Ending 7.02.14 Friday 7 February

R.E - This week I've learnt about the Scripture reading, and what it was about. At first I didn't know what it was about, But until I started to read it over and over it started to make sense. I've also learnt heaps about Lent.

Reading - This Week I  didn't understand some of the questions in our activities. Today I've learnt how to read back at the text, and how to Inference.

Writing - During the week I really struggled with my writing. But I feel like I've gotten better. I really Enjoyed the activities in Writing and Reading.

Maths -  During the week I didn't know what Decimals were. Now I feel like I have a better understanding of how decimal numbers operate. I've learnt how to figure out Decimals, I’ve also learnt how to  figure out how to read Decimals in words.

and it will send you to our Wall Wisher. We have been brainstorming on what the Scripture for the coming Sunday meant to us. The Scripture that was Matthew 6:1-11. It talked about how Jesus kept his faith and how he was tempted by Satan. He spent 40 days and 40 nights fasting. That's why during lent we give up something that is really close to us for lent. The 40 days and nights follows up to Easter:-)

Ideas :

* He Spent 40  days and nights in the Wilderness

* He kept his faith he held onto his faith during an extraordinary temptation

* Don’t Trust Satan

* Jesus was being Tested
* After 40 days and Nights he was put to death

* He was preparing to die.

My Story -

Jesus was tempted and was preparing for his death. During the 40 days and Nights Jesus Fasted, in other words he didn't eat. He kept his faith even when we was being tempted by Satan. Satan took Jesus up a very high mountain and showed his all the Kingdoms. He Said " I Will give you all this, If you will bow down and Worship me." Jesus said to him " Away from me Satan For it is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only
