Netbook Rollout

Thursday 2nd of February Room 3 got to look at our new netbooks. We got netbooks because schools in tamaki were very lucky

First of all Miss G told us to open the box, then we saw the netbook. Miss G told us to “Lift it up and take it out of the bag,” all we saw was that it was really, really shinny. After that Miss G said we had to take out the charger. Miss G said “Now we are going to countdown from ten and open up our netbooks”, so we counted down to 10. (we had to press the sliver button) Ten, Nine, Eight, Seven, Six, Five, Four, Three, Two, One. Room 3 saw the Manaiakalani symbol appear (it is an earth and a person holding a hook, the meaning is Manaiakalani wants to hook you in to your learning).

After we turned it on, Miss G said we had to make our new passwords, so we did. After that Miss G said we could play games. I played tux typing, tux paint and I took pictures. Finally Miss G told us to turn it off. Some people had to put their netbooks back into the boxes because they hadn’t paid for it but other people could put it in a big thing called a “COW” that charges all the netbooks at once. That’s how Room 3 got their netbooks.
